Some personal info of Hartmut Frommert

Since 1995, I'm continuously in charge of the maintenance of
- the SEDS Messier Catalog website (http://messier.seds.org/), and
- some other mainly astronomical stuff (http://spider.seds.org/)
Some personal information I decided to share with the curious reader:
- Dedicated to astronomy!
- now for a long time, I'm interested in the American Southwest, especially Arizona;
More particular:
- I have longly used a 11 cm (4.33-inch) Schiefspiegler for the observational part of what I do in amateur astronomy (hope to get this scope up again soon);
- still in use: My IBM PS/2 is still doing something useful, under some version of OS/2;
- for years, I have been the happy owner of a VW Karmann Ghia oldtimer.
Not born to be alone: Now for years, I'm happily married to my wife Sonja
What I'm doing when I'm not maintaining the internet services I offer at SEDS, doing amateur astronomy, internet surfing, or OS/2 programming, or just hanging around (rarely enough :)): Having done some research on gravitation theories, elementary particle theory, and some special fields in astrophysics (e.g., galaxy dynamics), I'm now working as system specialist in computer administration.
