NGC 6804
Other NOAO Images of NGC 6804:
This nebula exhibits some evidence of an interaction with the interstellar
medium, along with a characteristic central torus and outer halo. It may be
similar to NGC 2371, but older and with a less
constrained wind.
Shape: round, with a visible disc.
Distance: approx. 4,200 light years
Location: Constellation Aquila
RA: 19 31 35.50 DEC: +09 13 31.0
Size: 62 x 49 (ArcSec)
Abundances/Description: high surface brightness.
Discoverer: Herschel - later it was identified as a PN by Pease in 1917
