It would not have been possible to use eyepieces and a binocular viewer without getting into the beam between secondary and tertiary when adjusting for the inward focus travel the bino calls for. The solution was to build two focus adaptors pictured here for comparison. Please note the different eyepiece holder and clamping mechanism: the eyepiece holder is outside the focus adaptorĀ“s main body to provide room for the observerĀ“s nose when short-focus eyepieces are used. One has to think about everything...
