A stationary lander, equipped with instruments to perform geophysical sub-surface studies on Mars. Originally set for launch in early 2016, it was rescheduled for 2018 and successfully launched on May 5, 2018, using the opportunity of the 2018 Mars Apparition. This spacecraft was launched from Vandenberg Air Force Base, California with an Atlas V rocket. It is icurrently in interplanetary cruise, and scheduled to arrive at and land on Mars on November 26, 2018.
