Announced as globular cluster by Ortolani et.al. in 2009.
Listed as globular cluster in the second edition of Uranometria 2000.0
and Archinal and Hynes (2003).
Its nature was investigated, and found to be a globular cluster, by
Ortolani et.al. (2009).
