The surfaces are now tilted to each other in such a way that the air gap increases from the bottom to the top. There is an easily visible defect in the form of a central hill. The reason for this hill was a slightly defective pitch lap. The defect at the edge is the turned-down edge of the concave tertiary which serves as reference. This was easily verified by moving the secondary a little to the center (not depicted): the edge defect disappeared.
