Globular Cluster NGC 6144 was cataloged by William Herschel as H VI.10.

The image in this page was obtained by Martin Germano.

This globular cluster is situated close to brighter M4 from which it is just 50' to the ENE. It is even closer to the bright star Antares from which it is only 30' NW, so that it is somewhat difficult to be observed; Antares should be excluded from the field of view so that it cannot shine out this faint globular.
