No response to your email ?

.. if there is no response to your email for some time ..

there may be several reasons (as you will have guessed :-):

As my time is always tight, I do not always respond to email which does not require an answer, such as corrections, propositions, or fan mail; nevertheless, all this is highly appreciated and useful (fan mail is helpful, e.g., for motivating the maintainer, and for demonstrating potential sponsors that this service is useful)
I normally answer questions which are related to the stuff in my pages to my best knowledge, but often as concisely as possible (again, because of tight time). However, there are questions which I cannot answer with reasonable amount of effort; normally, I will notify you but..
Questions not related to this stuff are occasionally ignored. Sometimes, you may get a response nevertheless, but this is lottery..
In particular, I normally answer any permission requests, posts concerning third-party rights etc.

Please allow at least up to 4 weeks for response in "normal" times; this is usually if you find no special remarks (such as vacation or absence notice) in my homepage. If you still have not received an answer and should have, after what you have read, you may write again, as there may be one of the following:

Occasionally, email gets lost somehow, or does not arrive for other reasons whatsoever.
It occurs (hopefully not too often) that I'm so busy with other things that I need longer for answering, or that something gets buried into the heap of unsettled materials.
Unfortunately, I receive much email from invalid email addresses so that I cannot send out the response I have written. Therefore, please take care to check both your "Reply-To:" or "From:" field for a valid email address; it is desirable that you also include this address in the message body if you are not sure that the one in the header will work.
This is especially uncomfortable for me as I have already lost the time for writing for the netvana..

In some cases, it is possible to settle things with a short line in the latter cases; therefore, I have created this lookup link (Currently empty!) Please don't forget to inform me if you found (and got) your stuff so that I can remove it.
